Frazer-Nash Consultancy has submitted a set of science-based targets to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for validation, following an earlier commitment by the company to set emission reduction targets in line with climate science and limiting global warming to 1.5°C.
Since March 2021, after making a commitment to decarbonise, Frazer-Nash has worked on establishing its emissions baseline, creating science-based targets for decarbonisation and developing a company-wide decarbonisation plan. Now, the Net-Zero project team eagerly awaits official validation and approval of the targets from the SBTi.
Frazer-Nash Energy Director, Nial Greeves, said:
“The SBTi defines and promotes best practice in science-based target setting, offers guidance to reduce barriers to adoption, and independently assesses and approves companies’ targets to ensure their plans are in line with the Paris Agreement goals of limiting global warming to 1.5°C. We expect to receive feedback on the proposed targets from the SBTi later in the year.
