Systems, engineering and technology consultancy, Frazer-Nash Consultancy Limited has been appointed to Lot 5 of the National Highways’ Operational Technology Commercial Framework (OTCF) following a recent competitive tendering exercise.
The organisation, formerly Highways England, which manages and improves the strategic road network, will use this framework as its primary commercial vehicle for the delivery of its operational technology pipeline, and to help it meet its strategic aims. The diverse operational technologies covered by the framework include roadside devices and systems – for example, variable message signs, signals, emergency roadside telephones, CCTV cameras, and vehicle detection and digital enforcement cameras.

The framework will run for up to four years, with appointments made for an initial duration of 24 months, and extensions of up to 24 months in total.
