Team Signal designs submitted for National Flagship competition showcased in Boat International Magazine
Team Signal is a consortium of partners including Frazer-Nash, Houlder, Banneberg & Rowell, and Eckersley O’Callaghan and features in the April edition of Boat International magazine showcasing the designs put forward for the National Flagship competition last year.
Team Signal made it to the final two out of 19 competitors, and we were very fortunate to work with such distinguished partners in the design.
You can read more about our story, which is eloquently put by Dickie Bannenberg of Bannenberg & Rowell, and Simon Harris of Houlder, and see some of the many renderings of Team Signal’s unique design in the link below.
Dickie Bannenberg of Bannenberg & Rowell Design, comments in the article:
“At different times, and occasionally at the same time, it is an embassy, a conference centre, an expo centre, a humanitarian support vessel, and it had some defence criteria. Once you start weaving those requirements into scenarios it [becomes] a very sophisticated design project.”
Keir Gravil, Business Manager, Commercial Marine, Frazer-Nash comments:
“The National Flagship design brief was one of the most interesting and challenging that I have encountered so far in my career, and it was a pleasure to work with our partners in Team Signal to produce a solution that made us very proud. Meeting the requirements of the design brief was no small feat, but we created something truly unique that, as the brief asked, has a foot in the past with an eye on the future.”
